Selective soldering is a process that involves soldering THT (through hole technology) components on printed circuit boards heavily populated with SMD’s (surface mounted components). A piece of equipment known as a selective soldering machine handles the process. The use of a selective soldering system is only employed when wave soldering is not possible and the alternative is labour intensive hand soldering.
Our suppliers are leaders in the field of selective soldering, providing our customers with a number of quality selective soldering machine options, such as selective conformal coating and selective wave soldering equipment.
The ERSA Versaflow sets the industry benchmark, used by many blue chip OEM and CEM companies across UK such as BAe Systems, Rolls Royce and MBDA.
ERSA selective solder machines include the Versaflow, Ecoselect and Smartflow range of machines.
